Electrical & Lighting Case Study

Two weeks before the Holiday shopping season, a winter storm hit the Northeast, on a Friday. A major retail client needed power restored to 20 of their stores throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Maine. Missing the Holiday shopping season often means “life or death” for retailers.

The EFS team started taking work orders for the various needs of the retail sites hit by the storm late on Friday afternoon, and then rushed to reach our generator suppliers to secure the needed equipment before the competition. Because of our excellent and established national relationships with these suppliers, we were able to procure 20 generator units— from as far away as Ohio and Virginia.

Working around-the-clock throughout the weekend— scheduling generator deliveries and managing contractors—we were able to restore power to all 20 customer stores by Sunday morning, within 48 hours and days prior to the competition. To this day, our client still calls it a Holiday miracle.
