SCOPE OF SERVICES

This client wanted an integrated facilities management solution that would meet the demanding requirements of their high-performance, energy-conscious businesses. At the same time, this solution had to provide the operational reliability and cost management required for a successful outsourcing relationship. The solution also enabled the client to standardize its facility processes, reduce costs, and drive continuous operational improvement.

Our IFM solution changed the client’s facilities operations in several key ways. Specifically, we tailored the client’s project management guidelines, site budgeting procedures, and storeroom-management approaches to make them more consistent. Furthermore, we now handle all of the client’s building, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance needs.

One immediate benefit of these changes was a drop in the client’s vendor outsourcing relationships from 426 to 1. This relieved the client of the aggravations often involved in managing multiple supplier contracts, while also enabling significantly greater cost control.

SOLUTIONS

Using our state-of-the-art computer maintenance management system (CMMS), we now track and measure all of the client’s facility activities. Each month, we report to the client’s management team to review the facilities’ key performance indicators (KPIs), highlight currently positive factors, and identify future areas for improvement. This adds a new level of transparency to the client’s facility expenses, increasing both accountability and operational effectiveness.
